The Challenge

TSG was seeking to develop a new Sportsbook platform to support the business’ evolution into a global sports betting brand. The project required a full stack solution including data stores, middleware and both web and app user interfaces. It needed to support multiple brands across multiple territories and regulatory regimes, offering full localisation capabilities to deliver engaging experiences for diverse customer types. The platform needed to be highly secure, efficient to deploy, and able to scale to global customer volumes.


TSG engaged Fruition Consulting with defined outcomes of delivering two platform releases which would require productisation, security and deployment to live environments across two territories.

TSG utilised Fruition’s robust Teams as a Service (TaaS) solution, incorporating a detailed governance and expertise management layer that arched across teams. We deployed advanced skills and deep experience in diverse specialisms: full stack development (Kafka, Kubernetes and Kotlin); user interface development; product design and architecture for an international system; sportsbook engine domain knowledge; management/planning of scaled agile programme delivery.

Crucially, Fruition Consulting incorporated a robust up-skilling initiative to enable in-house teams to maintain elevated performance post-rollout, with the right capabilities and behaviours embedded across core areas.​


By deploying a multi-disciplined team of high calibre technology consultants, and ensuring strong performance metrics and feedback mechanisms were in place from the start, we delivered the first two milestones almost 2 months ahead of plan and were subsequently engaged to deliver the next project phase.

We minimised the volume of escalations, improved workflows, and removed bottlenecks – ensuring the successful release of the new Sportsbook platform into new territories on time and with massive improvement in engineering capability and performance.

The team at Fruition Consulting have delivered a brilliant operating model, taking the headache out of utilising contractors directly and augmented our teams with a robust and qualitative consultancy model.
